Meet Kylie!
With over a decade of experience in behavioral health, Kylie Hughitt is the founder of Contemporary Therapeutic Consulting (CTC), a practice grounded in compassion, clarity, and advocacy for families navigating the complexities of mental health and treatment options.

Kylie’s professional journey began on the business development and marketing side of the treatment field, where she quickly rose to leadership roles. Over the years, she has worked across the full spectrum of residential care, supporting programs that address eating disorders, acute psychiatric care, autism spectrum disorders, trauma, addiction, and primary mental health care for both adolescents and adults. Her expertise spans a wide age range, having served clients as young as 9 and as old as 71. She has helped design curriculum, hire clinical teams, support alumni, and build strong aftercare plans, all while focusing on long-term healing.

A standout achievement in her career includes helping launch the first behavioral health hospital in Dallas offering adult and geriatric services, marking a major step forward for mental health access in her community.
Kylie holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Pennsylvania State University. Ever committed to growth, she plans to pursue a master’s degree to deepen her clinical knowledge and further support the families she serves.

At the heart of Kylie’s work is a deep belief in the power of family. As a mother of five, she brings personal understanding and fierce advocacy to her consulting practice. She understands how overwhelming it can be to find the right care and believes that no family should have to do it alone. Through CTC, she helps families make informed decisions, saving them valuable time, money, and emotional energy. Her ultimate goal: to break cycles of generational trauma and support lasting healing.

A proud Dallas/Fort Worth native, Kylie was raised in a close-knit family and now raises her own large, joyful crew with her husband of 18 years. Their home is also a haven for rescued animals, including 4 dogs, 9 cats, and any creature in need.

Community service has always been a part of Kylie’s life. She’s been a Rotary Club member, co-chaired events for suicide prevention nonprofits, and currently volunteers with Team Life, leading support groups for youth in alternative schools. She is also an active member of the Therapeutic Consulting Association (TCA).

Outside of her work, Kylie loves creating abstract art, traveling to the beach, and watching documentaries about mental health. Every part of her life reflects a commitment to care—whether it's for her clients, her community, or her own family.
